I am a software developer with extensive experience in Java, Kotlin, and JavaScript. I have been developing computer/web/mobile applications for the last 15 years. Most of my education has been self-taught, although I have finished a 3-year diploma for Computer Science Technology at Sheridan College in a year. My passions lie in programming, mostly in Ruby, as well as, small electronics. I have been building custom electronics for the past few years. I love to share my passions and by doing so, I've started a makerspace, a coworking space and have run a number of courses teaching Ruby, Rails and other web technologies to assorted age groups. Alongside that, I also run a meetup group called "Yukon Tech Collective" and am working hard at bringing more technology into the Yukon.

I enjoy buildings things and solving problems. Problems don't exist in a vacuum and it's necessary to adapt any solution to the business or technical requirements at hand. My mantra is to hold myself to high standards of a software professional. This means that I am committed to: write the best code I can produce in the scope of the project, accountability, responsiveness, and setting clear expectations. Currently I'm exploring the Blockchain world, mainly focused on Ethereum and developement of Decentralized Applications using bleeding-edge technologies. I'm actively working as CTO @ Avalaunch, the official Launchpad of Avalanche ecosystem. In the last few years, I spoke and held workshops on the most notable Blockchain events all around the world: (After Covid-19 pandemic due to huge work overload, stopped attending conferences) * Ethereal Summit 2019 Tel Aviv Blockchain Week : [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JtaEbVkxfc&t=4s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JtaEbVkxfc&t=4s) * Defi Dapps&Days 2019 Tel Aviv Blockchain Week: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rpNFP0yiEM&t=523s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rpNFP0yiEM&t=523s) * Blocksplit 2019 Split : [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaE7-KHVXFw](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaE7-KHVXFw) * EthCC 2020 Paris: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fV5IvrPhpdc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fV5IvrPhpdc)

I've been in programming since Python was the "new" language in a Perl world. I've developed image editing software and network apps, working for companies large and small, from tiny startups to European Union research projects. I love Python, and I also love learning new languages and the ideas they bring. I do lots of work in Ruby, Rails, Haskell, and Docker. I live in Boulder with my partner and two dogs, longboarding and snowboarding when I'm not programming. I cannot give legal advice via codementor, but I can answer general questions about licensing, copyright, trademarks, and other intellectual property.
