After starting his career in development at a young age, with no access to the Internet, Georges taught university students as a way to learn coding. Georges earned his first certifications from UNESCO, CISCO CCNA/CCNP before majoring in Computer Science. In addition, while pursuing his BS Degree, Georges earned his ECCouncil Certified Ethical Hacker Certificate. Georges then scaled up and revamped the structure of many Startups in Lebanon, Syria, South Africa and the US. He consulted and developed many solutions that spanned over different industries such as Security, Fleet Management, F&B, ERPs, CRMs and Networking Solutions. Although Georges was a full timer with two companies in parallel, while consulting in the weekends and managing freelance projects, it was a challenge; yet, Georges sought to gain as much experience as possible where he automated most of his work. Georges now codes in different languages simultaneously and proficiently where he believes in Security, Clean Code and Scalability to be the main pillars in any project.

I’m a german full-stack web developer born in Berlin with more then 10 years of experience in web development as well as experience in project management and leading a team. I’m easy going and like responsibility. I can take full ownership of a project and handle every aspect of it. But I’m also able to delegate and organize a team with existing experience of small to medium scale projects.

If you go for it, you can go wrong. It may cost contempt or loneliness. It may not be legal. I studied for four years a degree in social sciences, totally useless for the development of my current job. I worked hard in jobs utterly unrelated to computer science. I spent tons of time in my sport career. And I don't regret nothing. Only if you live the way you want, you will become who you are. However, this would not justify a lower level, because of that I'm going madness with coding. My whole life became programming. It is full passion and enthusiasm. I've always like computers, I can remember my very first computer: an iMac G3 collected from the garbage. And it worked perfectly! That experience, the sound of keys being pressed by my fingers, the smell of the hot wires, that magic sound that my router did; every time I heared I remember R2D2. Probably my two biggest weaknesses are curiosity and pride. Pride in the challenges. I still don't know why studied political science, or spent time improving my soccer skills, but I think it was because those weaknesses. The same that push me to coding. Curious to know how states and societies function is the same as knowing how a processor works. Proud to beat the challenge of voting behavior is the same as to achieve that these damned api works properly. As anyone, I do not know what the future holds. But I'm convinced it will be related to programming. Coding is something really nice. Something simple, I would even say sensible. So sensitive it can be ephemeral. Do you know that feeling that you have finally found something truly valuable?

I'm a geek and an entrepreneur that takes pride in solving tasks elegantly within set limitations. I have had my own share of achievements and challenges with my own businesses and projects in my 16+ years as a developer. I love working with others and sharing and expanding my knowledge, which is why I'm excited to share my expertise as a mentor, colleague or consultant on your project. /** * Technologies I work with but not limited to. * @return a well-equipped toolbox */ - PHP (all versions), expert level (I write PSR-2 style) - JavaScript in multiple flavors (ES6, TypeScript, CoffeeScript, etc), expert level - In varying degrees: Go, Python, Java, Elm, Elixir. I can switch between languages and language styles, and explicitly make use of design patterns - Frameworks that I use but am not limited to: Laravel; Vue.js, React, Angular 1+2, and Knockout.js. I quickly adapt to a new framework as I am able to quickly grasp the key concepts and I usually go directly to reading the code. - Databases and servers locally and in the cloud. I've done a lot of DevOps with AWS, Digital Ocean, etc. Tools: Ansible, Docker, Terraform, MySQL, MongoDB, etc. - I predominantly use Linux-based environments and I am an avid Vim user. I contribute to the open-source community (publish and make PRs) and in general, I'm visible on developer communities on Slack, Gitter, Stack Overflow, etc. I mastered in dynamic and open narratives in multi-player/agent games—a subject I still find use for in other work in terms of first order logic, automatons, and the formalization of information knowledge. I've worked remotely for over 9 years now and I’m well aware of the challenges and advantages of not being in the same office or time zone as that of my clients. The key points are clarity of communication and that the distance forces you to explicitly think through what your goals and requirements are. /** * Why you should work with me. * @return high-quality delivery */ - I write elegant and efficient code. I believe in concise and readable code over documentation. - I take pride in delivering solid work and I naturally develop a sense of ownership. Thus, when your project succeeds, it will be a success for me as well. - I am honest about expectations. Software estimates are hard. Several smaller deliveries are better than a monstrous roll-out that might never take place due to lack of funds or lost opportunity. - I am currently based in Manila, Philippines (GMT +8) but I can easily adapt my schedule to yours and come up with a suitable working arrangement with you as my client. https://www.codeboutique.com

“The lesson was very informative. We covered creating an Okta account and using the dashboard to setup an app, creating user accounts and logging them in by calling endpoints, and login page with redirect url to app home page.“

“Anup is amazing! His business acumen and personality are both top-notch. I'm incredibly appreciative of the time he spent with me, appending queries and teaching me how to use Power Query. He's also super responsive and always on time, which I really appreciate. As someone with dyslexia, I sometimes struggle with directional instructions, but Anup was very patient and understanding. I'm so grateful I found him and will definitely reach out for more training in the future.“
