Hi! I am a software engineer who got bitten by the Blockchain virus couple of years ago. I haven't recovered yet! But that's ok, because Blockchain is the future of everything, right? Jokes aside, I am passionate about teaching Ethereum Dapps, smart contracts & Blockchain: - My Manning course: https://www.manning.com/livevideo/ethereum-dapps-in-motion - My Youtube channel EatTheBlocks: https://www.youtube.com/c/eattheblocks - My tutorial website EatTheBlocks: https://eattheblocks.com - My ebook "Learn Ethereum Dapps": https://eattheblocks.com/learn-to-build-an-ethereum-dapp-step-by-step-ebook-tutorial-for-beginners - My Github repo: https://github.com/jklepatch - My stack overflow: https://ethereum.stackexchange.com/ I have built consumer and enterprise web applications for the last 5 years. I currently work at LendingBlock, a crypto lending exchange for institutional investors (hedge funds, other exchanges, etc...). Before that, I consulted for various startups and Blockchain projects for the last 5 years. Among other things, I have setup the technical infrastructure of several ICOs (ERC20 tokens and also forking coins, like Monero). I feel comfortable both on the frontend and on the backend. I have mostly used Nodejs, Javascript and React, and Solidity. I have also used Python for some projects but my experience here is more limited. I have used MongoDB, but I dont really like it. I much prefer Mysql and RDBM systems in general. I have worked both in small and big teams. I am very familiar with the agile methodology. I particularly love to use ZenHub and leverage its integration with Github. It's fantastic to manage developer teams and keep in sync the project management with the Github issues. I have an intermediate knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes and Helm. I know how to setup a basic infrastructure on AWS, a kubernetes cluster, how to setup continuous integration with AWS CodeBuild and how to protect secrets.

How does personalized Openzeppelin mentoring differ from traditional classroom learning?

Personalized Openzeppelin mentoring through Codementor offers a unique and effective learning approach compared to traditional classroom learning, particularly in these key aspects:

  • Customized content: Personalized mentoring adapts the learning material and pace specifically to your needs and skill level. This means the sessions can focus on areas where you need the most help or interest, unlike classroom settings which follow a fixed curriculum for all students.
  • One-on-one attention: With personalized mentoring, you receive the undivided attention of the tutor. This allows for immediate feedback and detailed explanations, ensuring that no questions are left unanswered, and concepts are fully understood.
  • Flexible scheduling: Personalized mentoring is arranged around your schedule, providing the flexibility to learn at times that are most convenient for you. This is often not possible in traditional classroom settings, which operate on a fixed schedule.
  • Pace of learning: In personalized mentoring, the pace can be adjusted according to how quickly or slowly you grasp new concepts. This custom pacing can significantly enhance the learning experience, as opposed to a classroom environment where the pace is set and may not align with every student’s learning speed.
  • Practical, hands-on learning: Mentors can provide more practical, hands-on learning experiences tailored to real-world applications. This direct application of skills is often more limited in classroom settings due to the general nature of the curriculum and the number of students involved.

Personalized mentoring thus provides a more tailored, flexible, and intensive learning experience, making it ideal for those who seek a focused and practical approach to mastering Openzeppelin.
