- I am a consultant with expertise in python for data science, analytics, and visualization. - Time is valuable, so for the sake of transparency, my expectation is the session timer begins once we are in the Zoom. To minimize your cost, have a clearly defined request. If it takes 15 minutes to explain the request, that’s still billable time. Thank you. - I often see questions related to getting starting with python, for which I recommend using the [Anaconda Distribution][8] for your OS. - See [Getting Started with Anaconda Individual Edition][4] & [Anaconda User Guide][5] - Use [Jupyter Lab][3], not [Jupyter Notebook][2], because Lab is the updated version of Notebook, and Lab is a better environment. - Use Python >=3.9, because [Python 2.7 sunset on 2020-01-01][6]. If you are just starting out, and using 2.7, you are not using your time wisely. - [My Code Examples][7] will provide a sense of my coding style. - [About Me][about] [2]: https://jupyter-notebook.readthedocs.io/en/stable/ [3]: https://jupyterlab.readthedocs.io/en/stable/ [4]: https://anaconda.cloud/tutorials/8d29a356-46f8-4c5f-9fe8-3b3458b5a252?source=download [5]: https://docs.anaconda.com/anaconda/user-guide/?utm_source=anaconda.com&utm_medium=individual-get-started [6]: https://www.python.org/doc/sunset-python-2/ [7]: https://trenton3983.github.io/files/so_answers.html [8]: https://www.anaconda.com/products/individual [about]: https://trenton3983.github.io/

Writing my first lines of code, when I was still a teenage, laid the foundation of my passion for crafting software. People I work with know me as a person who adapts cutting-edge technologies pretty fast and use those to craft better software. For example, several years ago, a project which had the goal to introduce a web-based solution to remove a manual process, was not accepted by the customer due to reloading the complete webpages while retrieving updated data. I used a predecessor of the technology later known as AJAX - called XML Data Islands - to refresh only parts of the webpages. This helped our team to deliver a product with an exceptional user experience, which led to a great customer relationship. My focus over the last couple of years is on Cloud Computing technologies in general and the Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform, and since 2021 GCP, in particular. Due my long experience with Microsoft SQL Server (since SQL Server 7.0) and its Business Intelligence capabilities (since SQL Server 2000), my second focus is on Big Data / Complex Data processing by using technologies like Hadoop / HDInsight, HBase, Hive and R, as well as Data Science. I love making a difference by sharing my knowledge and help people write better software. I'm a regular speaker at user groups and international conferences, as well as author of several technical articles.
