I'm a Python consultant specializing in data science, analytics, and visualization. **Session Expectations:** Time is valuable—for both of us. To be transparent, the session timer starts when we enter the Zoom room. To minimize your cost, please have a clearly defined request prepared in advance. If it takes 15 minutes to explain the problem, that time is billable. **New to Python?** If you're just getting started, I recommend installing the [Anaconda Distribution][8] for your OS. It's beginner-friendly and includes many essential tools out of the box. - Use [JupyterLab][3], not [Jupyter Notebook][2]—Lab is the more modern, feature-rich environment. - Use Python ≥3.10. [Python 2.7 reached end-of-life in 2020][6], and using it now will only slow you down. - Helpful links: - [Getting Started with Anaconda Individual Edition][4] - [Anaconda User Guide][5] You can preview my coding style and approach in [my code examples][7]. Writing my first lines of code, when I was still a teenage, laid the foundation of my passion for crafting software. People I work with know me as a person who adapts cutting-edge technologies pretty fast and use those to craft better software. For example, several years ago, a project which had the goal to introduce a web-based solution to remove a manual process, was not accepted by the customer due to reloading the complete webpages while retrieving updated data. I used a predecessor of the technology later known as AJAX - called XML Data Islands - to refresh only parts of the webpages. This helped our team to deliver a product with an exceptional user experience, which led to a great customer relationship. My focus over the last couple of years is on Cloud Computing technologies in general and the Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform, and since 2021 GCP, in particular. Due my long experience with Microsoft SQL Server (since SQL Server 7.0) and its Business Intelligence capabilities (since SQL Server 2000), my second focus is on Big Data / Complex Data processing by using technologies like Hadoop / HDInsight, HBase, Hive and R, as well as Data Science. I love making a difference by sharing my knowledge and help people write better software. I'm a regular speaker at user groups and international conferences, as well as author of several technical articles.

“I am a Junior in college preparing for a technical interview for an internship at a technical company. I have been grinding leetcode and watching hundreds of videos in preparation of this interview, but one meeting with Dejan revealed all the gaps in my knowledge. Problems that I though I truly understood, I really only had a surface level understanding of them and had memorized how to write the code for them. I would highly recommend working with Dejan if you want to feel 100% ready for technical interviews“
