Building a website good website means putting the users first.
"Don't Make Me Think, Revisited" is the 3rd edition of Krug's book. It's about how to make stuff that makes sense. Any professional could read this and it would help them.
Now on it's 4th edition, this book is a must read for anyone serious about building or reorganizing a website with a lot of content.
Ready to build? Let's go!
I love the Visual QuickStart Guide series. If you love to see work code examples as you learn, this is a great book series. This is the booked I learned Python from.
I think I've owned 3 different editions of this book over the years. Definitely check it out. Again, it's great for seeing examples of code and what it looks like.
How to look good
David Airey and his firm have made some great logos. I love his work. This is great book to read to give you an idea of how design a logo.
If you're going to make a website, no matter your background (or lack there of), read this book. It's a great introduction to concepts like color, white-space, and fonts.
