- Led a team of 7 engineers to restructure our infrastructure to allow us have uniform tooling & tooling support across board. This involved rewriting our microservices which were initially in different languages (Python, Golang, Ruby and NodeJS) to a single language and framework (NodeJS using a uniform GRPC framework) without any service disruption for our end users or engineering teams. This improved the speed of delivery of product features by reducing cycle time by 36%. - Lead the platform team on a “consolidation” project to re-evaluate our micro-service culture. This led to removal of unnecessary service abstractions and merging redundant microservices without causing any service disruption for our end users or engineering teams. - Worked with other engineers on the platform team to develop tools around google cloud pub/sub to provide insight of events data and enforce validation rules.

Development of tooling to effectively setup and manage development environment for microservices and applications which drastically cut the time it takes an engineer to setup their environment from 1 week to less than a day. It also succeeded in eliminating the gap between the production and development environment. Introduction of the ChatOps concept by developing tooling to enable developers to independently manage kubernetes resources such as deployments, pods and services through Slack. This increased developer autonomy, agility and improved transparency leading to reduced mean time to resolution. Elimination of service disruption between deployments by introduction of blue-green deployment strategy. Improved our platform resilience with introduction of kubernetes health check.
