If I were a marine, Javascript would be the pen knife I reach for just to feel assured, and at times of great danger. I absolutely love Javascript, both on the server and client side. I've been writing Vanilla JS with node for over five years now and ventured into ReactJS by May 2015. Javascript gives you total power. Once you have a deep understanding of design patterns, you will appreciate that.

I have used React and flux for well over a year now and have built internal apps that scaled. I switched to Redux February this year and have since used it to build out the wishes of various clients. Feedback has been really good :)

I started using Git to manage my workflow and collaboration about three years ago, and since then it's been awesome. Now I always fully integrate Git lifecycle hooks to projects I manage (waffle and jira have been lit)

I fell in love with Ruby earlier in 2015 and have since used it to build several systems, including internal systems that scaled to handle over +10,000 items. I'm still into Ruby to this day - as Rails 5's action cable excites the playing field :)

Once I got comfortable with HMTL/CSS, I started using Jquery to bring static pages alive - animate the UI, make AJAX calls, manipulate the DOM

I've built full internal applications with GraphQL and currently have my blog server running on it. Compared to REST, I think GraphQL is the future, so I'm slowly converting existing APIs (I can) to use GraphQL. I'd be happy to mentor someone else on this.

For the past 3 years, I have worked extensively on over 15 NodeJs projects including building new products from scratch up to deployment.
