Tolga Varol

I'm currently a full-time startup managing director with main focus in technology, where provide two solutions:

1. driving behavior evaluation based commercial fleet management
2. rolling stock based digitalized railway infrastructure inspection

based on our dual edge-AI camera and enterprise cloud platform.

I spend most of my time on managing developers or developing myself for the industrial design, AI engine, computer vision application, hardware (10 layer PCB with 3 subsystems), imaging system and camera, cloud application and a custom Linux kernel where I develop some of the basic kernel drivers as well business development and some communications.

Last year I had 5 masters thesis students in - AI, embedded systems and cloud - where I was their industrial advisor and indeed that was great fun for me. Now that I lack that opportunity, I joined Codementor to have similar engagements.

I hold a double masters in Embedded Systems with Innovation and Entrepreneurship from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Technische Universität Berlin where I held an excellence scholarship.

I'm bilingual in English and Turkish. Also can communicate in German, Spanish and French in a basic level.
