As a senior software engineer at Visuwell I am responsible for assisting with planning and architecting solutions, assisting other developers on the team when they run into roadblocks, performing code reviews, developing microservices to help support the main Rails monolith, developing CI automations, debugging issues in production, and developing new features for our multiple systems. During my time at Visuwell I have been responsible for spearheading a number of projects that are crucial to the future success of the company including developing an Elixir microservice to interface with a new video platform to better support enterprise health systems, resurrecting and launching a previously developed but defunct virtual triage system, and migrating our infrastructure to Kubernetes on AWS which helped us scale up during the recent pandemic.

As the co-founder of Left + Right, I managed teams of developers working on a variety of projects from multi-million dollar multi-year web application projects to websites that needed scale to 1000’s of on concurrent users. I worked with a variety of technologies such as Ruby on Rails, MySQL, Postgres, Redis, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Git, Vue, React, React Native, Ember, jQuery, Twilio, Stripe, Saleforce, and more. Out of the variety of projects I worked on while at Left+Right the one that I am most proud of was our work with the Hispanic Scholarship Fund. I helped architect and develop multiple applications including a donation, mass messaging, pledge, event, and scholarship application. Along with a marketing website and a centralized member database that was the central hub for all the applications
