7+ years of experience building and maintaining mission critical and reliable systems in Python and C++. Have built automated financial trading systems in C++ for trading and hedging thousands of securities without any human intervention. Built robust Python based frameworks and services for financial backtesting and demand / supply forecasting. These frameworks and services were used to make trading bets worth millions of dollars on a daily basis. Built a Python based distributed compute platform for deploying, running and monitoring large scale financial models. This platform used Bazel, Flask, MongoDB, SQL Server, Nomad ,Docker, AMPS (A Messaging and Queueing product) and AWS. The platform also provided interactive parallelizations using ipython parallel and proved very useful for data scientists for parallelizing CPU bound numerical calculations during the process of iterative model development. Have worked closely with data scientists for several years and have built robust Python tools for data analytics and visualization. These tools relied heavily on numpy /pandas for numerical analysis and Highcharts / Ploty for visualizations in Juptyter Notebooks. Worked closely with data scientists to make easy to use and very intuitive declarative API’s on top of these tools. Built infrastructure using Python, Redis, SQL Server and ElasticSearch to manage, monitor and track over 2000 critical data feed pipelines running 24x7.
