• Working on user onboarding and identification redesign to handle the scale for the next wave of crypto influx
• Leading the project to redesign the key infrastructure for handling onboarding polices and user transaction polices

• Lead a team of 2 SDE2s and 1 scientist to perform end-to-end requirement gathering and design, and orchestrated between 3 away engineering teams to understand cost computation architecture.
• Designed the business critical service that consumes 15 TB data of Amazon Warehouse data weekly to procure inventory placement cost. Added capabilities empowering the business to tweak the data with user controlled levers and maintain versioning of TBs of data.
• Re-archtecturedawayteam’sAWS-SWF(ondeprecationpath) technology to use AWS Step Function for orchestration. The result is 6% faster compute, 15% reduction in SAS risks, and quicker debugging.
• Received Spot award for Engineering Excellence and raising the bar.

Fraud Customer Return Refunds Reduction

• Deep dived the fraud refunds usecase, reverse engineered the processes in Amazon FCs, and strategized with PMs to bridge the gap between preliminary and advanced customer returns grading paths.
• Designed the solution requiring restructuring of data while maintaining backward compatibility. Led a team of 3SDE1s to implementation across 6 services & ensuring SOLID principles. The result was a reduction of $80MM in fraud refunds yoy and promotion of a SDE1.

Operational Excellence

• Identified a bug as part of COE that plagued 1000+ services in Amazon due to default configurations. Received Quarterly Awesome Amazonian across the Org for the discovery & campaign driving the fix.
• Responsible for driving 2 teams (15 Engineers) towards a 10% yoy ticket reduction and achieved 13% reduction (20% high-severity reduction).
• Interviewed 100+ candidates and mentored 7SDE1s and interns.

Other Contributions

• Setup advanced react hooks and backend-UI state sync for the next-gen returns grading tool which processes 10MN units per week making it completely backend driven. Received Awesome Amazonian Award for the contribution as the same UI architecture was leveraged by 2 other teams.
• Designed and Implemented, the X-Ray grading process path in the 4-tier architecture platform while evaluating API Gateway + Lambda, AWS ECS, AWS EC2 solutions and their costs.
• Reduced the react bundle size by 70% by optimizing Webpack compressing and identifying passive components and Lazy Loading them. Result was a 40% faster load time and UPH increase.
• Got promoted in 1.7 yrs with average over 2.2yrs.
