In addition to my full time job as a Software Engineer, I have spent the past 2 years honing my mentoring skills as a part time mentor for a top Canadian bootcamp. I have consistency received excellent feedback from students and stay in touch with many after they are finished, and help support them in their career searches. I am about to start a volunteer mentorship position with Accelerate Her Future which provides courses and mentorship for Indigenous and Black women in Canada to enter the tech industry. I enjoying helping students to reach their Aha! moments, to support them in acheiving their goals and to see them blossom into real developers!
