Built, deployed, and monitored a new machine learning pipeline from scratch using Python in AWS Sagemaker to predict the underwriter decision of Life Insurance policy based on health metrics over the following 5 years. Achieved 72% accuracy with under 1 second inference time on AWS Cloud. Reduced underwriter decision metrics due diligence period on new policies by 95%, from 2-4 weeks to 10 minutes with “human in the loop” implementation. Presented results from machine learning models to the executive team.
