I am currently a part-time independent consultant/developer on 3D graphics and AR/VR, and a part-time assistant professor of 3D graphics at the University of Udine, Italy.
As a developer, I have worked in a range of industrial projects using WebGL, Unity, and Unreal. Most notably, I have written a WebGL product configurator, currently being used by various companies (e.g. www.calligaris.com and www.montegrappa.com), developed AR solutions for brands like Calligaris and ASSA ABLOY, provided graphics expertise and custom shaders for VI-Grade driving simulators, taught Unreal professional training for Stiga Group, contributed to open-source projects such as three.js, designed visualisations and installations for events and exhibitions.
As a university professor, I have done research in the fields of AI, Human-Computer Interaction, Virtual Reality and Computer Graphics, with about 50 papers published in international journals and conferences, and applications to virtual cinematography, virtual museums, emergency and medical training systems, information visualisation, e-commerce. I have worked in several multi-national research projects, as team leader, member, or reviewer. Since 2007, I am teaching 3D real-time rendering to master level students at the University of Udine.
