I was first introduced to programming went to a computing taster session before selecting my A Levels, and since I have been hooked. I started off by being taught Visual Basic in college, where I would complete the in class exercises at home in my free time. This has lead me down the path to teaching myself Python for me A Level Computing project, to pretending I knew what I was doing when I attempted to classify sarcasm of Reddit posts using deep neural networks for my final year project at university.
I am now working as a Java Backend Engineer in the Solutions Engineering team, delivering technical workshops and implementing proof of concepts (PoCs) with prospective clients as part of the sales cycle. When not working with clients I'm experimenting with new releases from R&D, improving the processes used for PoCs, and contributing back to tooling used by clients and company.
