With over 9 years programming in Java and Spring, a solid understanding of most of the Spring Ecosystem ranging from Spring Secuirty, AOP, and event queues. The last fews years spent leading backend Java teams for a Tier 1 UK bank, and currently at a small startup FX payments company. While these are my specialities, my career has allowed me to gain a a diverse amount of experience working with DevOps, AWS, and Kubernetes. I've also held technical sales roles that required presenting technical workshops ranging from developers to CxO's audiences, and also at confrences in front of ~50 people.

When I graduated university I landed in a role as a Backend Developer, creating Spring microservices. When I first started I had only heard of Spring, but had never used it. Since then I have taught myself the ins and outs of the Spring Framework, most recently learning about Spring Webflux to create reactive web applications. I have proven experience creating highly scalable and fault tolerant services as part of my career.

I was one of the first handful of people in my previous employer to really get hands on with Kubernetes, and was involved in migrating all of 70 plus services to be cloud native and ready for Kubernetes deployments. I completed the Certified Kubernetes Admin in 2021, and continue to use and manage production K8s clusters today.
