I have been working as an DevOps engineer since 2014. I started in company called Cloudreach which is today one of the biggest Cloud Computing company out there, with the most AWS certified engineers in the world. I myself passed 5 AWS certifications and when I reached my 5th certificate in 2016, I was among few hundreds people worldwide who achieved all 5 certificates. I started in the Cloudreach Vancouver office as second hire and helped to grow the team to 30 engineers in the 3 years I was there. In 2015 I was promoted to DevOps lead and was helping with mentoring other team members. During my time in Cloudreach I was working on multiple projects for large enterprises and also was working with the AWS team in Seattle on a new AWS service offering. My last 6 months in Cloudreach I spent working as an external consultant for the DevOps team of Warner Music Group. In 2017 I started to work for xMatters - xMatters is an intelligent communication platform with many large customers. During my time in xMatters we were focused on migration of the xMatters application from private cloud to public cloud (GCP). I was working as a DevOps guy embeded in a Dev team. As a team we owned 6 microservices and our team sprints were focused on migration of these microservices to the cloud. I had to containerize those services and deploy them in repeatable manner - I used Jenkins for building and uploading the container images and spinnaker to deploy the containers to kubernetes cluster. I also used Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and alerting and xMatters application for alert escalations.

Most of my experience with Jenkins is with the version 1, however I also have had some exposure to Jenkins version 2 (Jenkinsfile). I have experience building large release pipelines as well as standalone jobs needed to get some task done

Ihave been working with AWS for 3 years in Cloudreach almost on daily basis. I have experience with many of their services and also I'm 5 times certified (Solution architect - professional and associate, DevOps engineer - Professional, Certified developer - associate, SysOps administrator - associate)
