I have been using Ruby for building web application in Rails and Sinatra, but also as a scripting language to build command line applications with GLI, as well as APIs in Grape and even FastCGI. I have built daemons, server process monitors, and load testers in Ruby. Ruby is my favorite language to work in, and wherever suitable for the task at hand I use it. I started using Rails at version 0.10.1, shortly after it was first released, and I've continued using it for every release that followed. I've implemented many Rails upgrades across major versions, as well as leading some high profile PHP to Rails migrations of large scale websites, including https://www.asmallworld.com/ in 2008 and https://www.biblegateway.com/ in 2010. I lead the Rails team developing a $100 million wealth management project at Bloomberg L.P. from 2010 to 2012. I currently lead a team of Rails developers converting https://invoice2go.com from cappuccino to Rails and AngularJS.
