About me

Hey, I'm a passionate full stack web developer with extensive experience in frontend, backend, automation and scaling of multiple web applications.

I currently work remotely as a Software Engineer at Awell Health. I've three years of professional experience and around three years of freelancing experience on multiple platforms. I've won programming competitions, got distinctions in my BSCS degree and I've been top rated on Upwork.

I love problem solving and I love working on TypeScript + NodeJS.

Background

I've been learning programming since 2014 when I started building websites for fun. I then started working as a freelancer in 2016 and got excellent feedback from clients around the globe. I initially started with WordPress but then moved to NodeJS and Typescript. I love working in/with startups because I think it's the fastest way to have an impact. For the last few years, I'm trying to disrupt the healthcare sector with the skills and knowledge I have.

My responsibilities include: • Writing FE & BE code in Typescript with unit tests. • Designing & documenting software architecture of problems. We use event sourcing and CQRS. • Managing prioritization & spikes of features of the product. • Solving issues and communicating with the customers of the product. • Managing CI/CD pipelines in place for deploying the app to Kubernetes clusters. • Writing e2e tests for the app using Cypress. • Managing & maintaining POCs for potential customers. • Responsible for releases of the product (writing release notes, testing, collaborating with product team etc.) Impact: • Implemented end-to-end healthcare-flow builder to facilitate care teams in making efficient choices. The software is literally saving lives. One research by our customer showed that their patients survival rate increased by 56% after using Awell. • Implemented multiple features from scratch including Webhooks, API Calls, EMR integrations, Embeddable Plugins, Working List and Activity Feed. • Took initiative to completely revamp the software architecture of our backend services which increased logging capabilities, loading speeds and predictability of our codebase. I migrated our event-streams from MongoDB to ArangoDB.
