Selected projects:

• Worked with a clinical trials startup to ideate, specify, and develop multiple MVPs, including a traditional web application, Chrome extension, and AI product. Assisted with navigating HIPAA compliance, matching product to market needs, and making fundamental technology decisions.
• Worked with solo entrepreneur to develop a tech concept into a production-ready application, including developing user-facing and infrastructure features, and scaling system's supported request rate >100x

I led a newly-formed team to maintain continuity and expand functionality on a business-critical system that had presence in dozens of countries while staying in compliance with data locality regulations while simultaneously becoming the SME on that system myself within the first 6 months of my tenure. I helped my team upskill on this complex system while also acting as a thought leader across the organization on topics like infrastructure-as-code, system architecture, engineering culture, and blameless postmortems.

I also led, designed, and built a HIPAA-compliant 2-way messaging integration using Twilio to support the business's data collection and compliance needs.

Projects I led included an event-based webhook system, a revamped test fixture approach, and an experimental PDF generator.

Apart from my technical work, I created an architecture strategy for splitting up their monolith into a suite of microservices while keeping complexity under control and introduced Terraform and DevOps processes into the team's practice.
