I still remember being a junior dev, feeling intimidated by software challenges I faced. It's easy to have impostor syndrome moments in this industry where you feel like maybe you aren't cut out for this. There's a massive amount of information to take in. You really can't know it all.

But, there's nothing more gratifying than entering into a software challenge you don't have the answer to, struggling with it, and finally figuring it out.

The happiest moments of my career have been in helping other developers work through problems they were facing.

I've been using C# all the way back to .NET v2.0. My first C# programs were migrating from scripts I had written in vbscript to transform data. I found that rewriting them in C# made them faster and easier to debug. That's what sold me. Mostly, I've used it since then in ASP.NET MVC apps and apis, but .NET core made it possible for me to write a C# program and deploy it to a Raspberry Pi 3 and control lights on a breadboard. I love the language and its ever growing capabilities.
