I am a lecturer and scientist with a Ph.D. in computer science. I am excited about learning new things and I often program for fun and to learn new technologies. I have programmed since I was in secondary school, that is over 20 years ago. Despite working for a brief time for IT companies, I chose a career in teaching and research. Many years ago I started with Pascal (at some point even Delphi) and Visual Basic, did some brief projects in C and C# (including Unity applications), then moved to Java (including mobile development) and Python. I also came across R during my time as a researcher. I am familiar with MySQL and also NoSQL databases. My current focus is on machine learning using Python, Google colab, and cloud computing. Needless to say, I am good at navigating through various programming languages and finding solutions to various problems.
Some of my personal projects (various programming languages) can be found on my GitHub: https://github.com/marcfrincu
I also run a blog where I post about energy saving, and time series analysis using Python: saveawatthour.com/
