I am a retired Google Senior Staff Software Engineer

I am a recently retired Software Engineer with 30+ years of experience.

My most recent experience is in Kotlin and Compose on Wear OS/Android.
At Google I was part of the Android API Council reviewing and providing feedback and advice on Android public APIs.

I worked in Java extensively from 1996 until transitioning to mostly Kotlin from 2020. I have experience of lots of other languages through my career such as Python, C/C++, Go, ... - but haven't been actively developing in them recently.

My career has spanned small, medium and large firms in Tech Companies and Investment Banking.

I would like to help others learn and develop their skills to hopefully have an exciting and fulfilling career in Software Engineering.
