As a senior level developer working for Verizon on a contractual basis I help build and deploy a wide range of projects using JavaScript, Node, Express, Socket.io, TypeScript, React, React-Native, MySQL, Docker, Redis and AWS. My main project deals with NFT collectibles for such partners as the AMC Walking Dead TV series using Etherium (Geth) blockchain technology. Because the slow nature of blockchain requests, I pioneered a new way of scheduling REST requests using Express, Redis, Node and Socket.io. This helps alleviate stress on the blockchain by scheduling the requests if there too many. I also built a JavaScript SDK as a Node module to allow a 3rd party company to access Verizon's APIs for a new mobile application for NFT collectibles. I also help train the lower level developers on the latest standards and techniques. As I side project, I pitched the idea to management about building a SaaS for XR experiences that includes NFTs and metaverse functionality using Unity and React/React-Native. Verizon will then sell access to partners such as Disney so they too can have their own metaverse experience. Think "Sandbox" but democratized. This is currently in the planning phases and I am directly involved in the decision making process and the idea is being considered for a patent.

As a solutions architect and consultant I work with my clients to develop custom solutions per their specific needs. These projects would range from simple websites, complex SaaS applications, mobile apps or leading a team of developers. I might also be required to jump into an existing project and do various back-end or front-end work or fix a few bugs on an as-needed basis. So far I have been involved in around 40 different projects of various types and project length. Technologies mostly centered around the MERN stack and its related technologies including React, React-Native, Node.js, Express, GraphQL, Apollo, TypeScript, etc. I practiced TDD using Jest and Enzyme were applicable. I worked databases such as MongoDB, PostGres and SQL Server. During this time I built and deployed 5 react-native mobile apps. I developed with some react platforms such as Gatsby.js and Next.js.
