I expect to help you solve your problem without much to go on...

...even if you also might be discouraged. I can help you win out of your current situation.

I can ramp up fast and deliver help soon given long experience by engaging deeply with you and with your problem. You can rely on my communication skills.

I solve design problems with a facility for rapid iterative model creation. I solve execution problems though either research (alone or with others) or intuition developed by the proverbial "then thousand hours" programming experience.

I have forgotten more useful programming skills than most developers have ever learned.

I believe there is a crisis of usability in our industry; we are not doing enough to improve usability release by release. This stems from lack of industry commitment. It is also hard to credit the urgency of our industry's commitment to usability while also imposing git on developers as a de facto requirement.

My training started with an eight-week C++ class; I taught myself the rest in independent study.

Before entering the industry, I took a degree from Northwestern in Sociology, which credits my facility for communication and for rapid problem-solving.

Joined internal betas for the language in 2002-03, and for the .NET Framework and runtime with which it initially shipped. Back in those days you declared variable types explicitly. The old ways were better.

Did sustaining engineering coding for this innovative commercial art concern which builds its Web properties in .NET Core and .NET Standard but employs Mac/*nix tech for corporate computing and development. To ramp up on the firm's business model, applications and Web properties, along with these new platforms, was a too-hard ask on the time available to the firm.

Performed new feature development and sustaining engineering on CPQ, Epicor's online-shopping solution for firms offering complex products - whose customers therefore must specify many configuration settings at time of order. CPQ renders a visual representation of the product to customers to serve as a user interface; as users manipulate this, CPQ updates its data model, its quoted price, and the user interface itself to reflect the new state of the product order. Implemented in the MVC design pattern, CPQ also demanded expertise in C#, .NET (Framework, Core, Standard), Entity Framework, T-SQL, REST APIs, AngularJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
