I'm an experienced full-stack web app engineer of over 20 years who specializes in JavaScript, React, Git, Node, Linux, MySQL, Postgres, and vim. I'm especially good at helping junior-mid level devs get set up, moving servers, cloning environments, debugging, automating deployments, writing CLI scripts, or explaining how X works in a way that you'll understand (often by comparing it to a concept that you already know).

I make it a point to listen first and make sure that I fully understand both the problem being raised and the bigger picture before recommending a solution. I will freely admit where the edges of my knowledge are anytime I'm asked something I don't immediately know the answer to. I'm full of collective insights and happy to share with you the patterns and wisdoms I've gleaned over the years: which things tend to work, and which things tend to be a Bad Idea (tm). If there are multiple options to proceed, I'll always explain the pros and cons of each one, while being mindful of your priorities such as your budget and/or deadlines.
