Jacques Le Normand

I've developed a curriculum to teach ReactJS at the DecodeMTL bootcamp. I am proficient enough with the technology to be able to reimplement it from scratch. I understand every part of the stack, including NPM, Webpack and Babel. I've solved many bugs while developing in ReactJS and also while helping my students solve their own problems.

I teach ExpressJS as part of the full stack development curriculum at DecodeMTL. I am proficient enough to reimplement ExpressJS from scratch. I understand every part of it, including HTTP requests/responses, middleware, cookies and body parser. I've solved countless bugs in my own code and in my students code.

I did my masters and my PhD project in O'Caml. I also worked with Jacques Garrigue, one of the creators of O'Caml, to develop an important feature of the language. We published two papers on the subject. I've written a compiler for a computer language I designed and an HTTP backend in O'Caml. I also worked with O'Caml when I was a research engineer at Lexifi.
