As the co-founder and technical manager of SoftSerbia, I have been instrumental in building one of the first outsourcing companies in Serbia, specializing in delivering tailored software solutions to global clients. My role has evolved over 20+ years, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on technical contributions.

I led the transition to modern frameworks like Ruby on Rails and PHP, enabling the team to deliver scalable, maintainable and high-performing applications. My focus on process improvement resulted in a increase in team efficiency, achieved by streamlining workflows and adopting cutting-edge tools.

A key part of my role involves mentoring a diverse team of developers, guiding them through technical challenges, fostering a collaborative culture and encouraging continuous learning. I designed and implemented robust development methodologies that ensure consistency, quality and innovation across all projects.

As a consultant, I’ve provided expertise in database optimization, API development and SaaS architecture for high-profile clients. Under my guidance, the team has successfully delivered projects ranging from enterprise-grade systems to niche web solutions.

At Faktus, I worked on developing financial tools designed for small and medium-sized businesses in the construction sector. My contributions focused on creating innovative solutions to manage cash flow challenges through an online platform offering services such as factoring, material advances and surety bonds.

Using Ruby on Rails, Stimulus,and Tailwind CSS, I developed user-friendly features that improved client interactions with the platform. I spearheaded the integration of third-party APIs, ensuring smooth synchronization between external services and the platform’s internal database. This reduced manual intervention and increased operational efficiency.

Database performance was a key focus of my role. I optimized SQL queries to accelerate data processing and improve platform responsiveness. In addition, I created a suite of automated tests to safeguard application stability during frequent deployments, reducing errors.

Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, I ensured alignment between technical implementation and business objectives, ultimately enhancing the platform’s ability to support clients in managing their financial workflows.

As part of the seller team at Shift, I focused on improving the car quoting process, ensuring a seamless experience for users looking to sell vehicles. My work combined technical expertise with a user-centric approach to deliver impactful solutions.

I developed and maintained APIs in Ruby on Rails, enhancing data flow between front-end applications and backend services. My optimization of pricing algorithms in Go improved quote accuracy, directly impacting customer satisfaction.

Database tuning was a key part of my role, where I enhanced SQL query performance to reduce response times for high-traffic scenarios. My contributions to refactoring legacy codebase improved maintainability, reduced technical debt and enabled faster feature rollouts.

Beyond development, I was actively involved in team mentorship and code reviews. I created comprehensive automated test suites, ensuring the stability and reliability of features during frequent deployments.
