My team and I developed an API Management product using Spring Boot, Vert.x, Microservices, and Java technologies, including many open-source projects. Highlighted projects: ✓ At Yapi Kredi Bank, where I worked as Software Engineering Manager, I had designed, developed, executed, and lead Java projects using Spring framework, Oracle, and IBM middleware solutions. I had led Core Banking Services development during Yapı Kredi Bank's digital transformation program and delivered new core banking APIs using Spring Framework, Java, and IBM middleware technologies. ✓ As a technical project lead, I had designed, developed, and executed an SOA based transformation project for the E-Health system of the Turkish Ministry of Health using Java EE, Spring framework, Oracle Middleware, and BI technologies. Oracle Turkey made this project shortlisted in the top ten for the Global 2012 Oracle Fusion Middleware Innovation Award and then elected in the top three by Larry Ellison. ✓ I had designed and developed a credit rating API prototype for the Turkish Credit Bureau using Java and Oracle Middleware to replace legacy platforms and APIs. This new brand ultra-performance APIs hit 10M records per bank daily during load tests.

Situation: Turkcell decided to transform all mobile applications into a single platform using the Smartface mobile application development solution and was looking for a compact and OpenShift compliant middleware for a new mobility platform. Task: As a solution architect, my target was to design and implement API focused middleware architecture using open source projects. Action: I worked with Smartface and Turkcell teams to gather architectural and non-functional requirements and then designed a new OpenShift compliant middleware solution architecture. Next, after successfully presenting the solution architecture, I got approval from Turkcell application, technical and enterprise architecture teams, including DevOps, SecOps, and OpenShift teams. Finally, I established a middleware architecture culture for both Turkcell and Smartface project teams and mentored them with best practices. Result: The client’s technical and enterprise architecture teams approved my design, and then I built a DevOps team for implementation and trained development teams for middleware architecture, including API Management and API Security concepts. Turkcell now evaluates this middleware architecture to reuse for new ongoing transformation projects.

Situation: Smartface decided to transform its current Cloud IDE into the Eclipse Che based new design to replace Amazon Cloud9 IDE and start utilizing Kubernetes benefit - Amazon acquired Cloud9 and changed its licensing model. Task: As the solution architect, my target was to build a team and assess as-is and design to-be architecture and execute transformation after gap analysis. Action: I worked with the Smartface platform, IDE, and UX teams to design transformation strategy and planning. Next, I worked with the IDE team to migrate JavaScript codes into TypeScript, including ReactJS components, to be able to run inside the Eclipse Theia and Kubernetes based Eclipse Che 7. After removing Cloud9 specific coding and refactoring, -applying DI and Factory design pattern, finally, we forked and adapted both Eclipse projects for Smartface Cloud IDE and collaboration platform requirements to support both private and public cloud and SaaS delivery models. Result: Successfully transformed and deployed into both Digital Ocean and Microsoft Azure. Smartface eliminated license violation by replacing Amazon Cloud9 with this new solution. The Smartface professional services team now uses the latest Cloud IDE, and Smartface already started offering this new Cloud IDE solution to the customers. After my successful product demo, Smartface successfully achieved R&D project approval from TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey).
