What I do: - Design and develop distributed backend systems using (PHP, RabbitMQ, MySQL, Redis, Memcache, AWS), includes required infrastructure, API design, integration into existing systems. - Develop/maintain internal frameworks - Mentor junior developers - Troubleshoot existing products and plan new product features - Peer review code - Occasionally write front-end systems to integrate into backend systems. - Write a lot of tests... and then typically more tests. What I have done while at Mobials. Tradesii.com - Launched (April 2017) which is a web product for automotive dealerships - This product is also featured on kijiji.ca and reaches around 500 dealerships across Canada Mobials.com : Reviewsii - Notification system redesign - The Reviewsii Product suffered from technical debt and required a complete rebuild from the ground up as the scope of the system continually grew over the previous 3 years. - Using better engineering principles our team was able to close dozens of open tickets regarding edge case problems with the new system. What I am currently doing: Accounting System Project (Lead) - Currently in the final stages of development; we are building a custom accounting system to accommodate our unique corporate structure
