Daniel Glauser

I've been teaching Clojure for five years and have been using it professionally for over three years. I love working with Clojure and am passionate about the language. I spend a lot of time in Emacs and am happy to help tech that as well. I've worked mostly remote for the past five years and am comfortable working that way.

I've been a fan of functional programming for years. So much that I move positioned myself to work with functional languages. I've been teaching Clojure for over five years, and working professionally in the language for over three years. Before that I worked with Groovy, Ruby, and Scala, paying special attention to the functional aspects of each of those languages. I have a strong working knowledge of programming paradigms and where the functional paradigm fits in.

I studied Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts, a top twenty CS school. Since then I've worked as a programmer for over fifteen years. I received a great education at UMass and would be happy to help someone learn more about Computer Science or work through issues they are having in school.

I've worked on scaling systems at places like Comcast, NBC-Universal, VMware, and numerous other companies. I'm happy to help someone work through some scalability and/or architecture issues, especially involving the JVM.

I've recently been working a lot with ClojureScript, mostly re-frame and reagent. I have some old experience with Om but have recently modernized my front end stack. I have a great design and workflow that I'd like to share with others. The errors when working with ClojureScript and can be daunting, luckily I've spent a lot of time working through them.
