SLB is a global technology company in the energy industry. I worked on three different product teams creating applications allowing geophysicists to analyse geological data at scale. These systems were composed of 5 to 20+ micro-services.
Examples of achievements:
- Collaborated with data science to integrate data pipelines (log splicing, ..).
- Designed and implemented a system to identify rock layers in 100k logs and compute properties on them.
- Improved performances on quality metrics filtering by switching to a more appropriate database.

Signal AI is an applied AI company which aggregates thousands of news sources and provides applications for organisations to monitor their brand and their industry in the media. I have seen the evolution of Signal from being the first employee (working from a garage) with no clients to raising several rounds of funding (Seed, Series A and B, $27M in total), selling to hundreds of clients (among them big corporations like Deloitte, HSBC or British Airways), reaching 100+ employees and generating $10M ARR(Annual Recurring Revenues) in the space of 5 years. I worked in a cross-functional (UX, data science, engineering), highly collaborative, lean/agile team focused on delivering value.
Examples of achievements:
- Collaborated with UX designers (brainstorms, user interviews...) to develop the main user-facing product which allows people to construct complex queries on a large dataset and represent the data in a shape that allows them to dive in and draw insights from it.
- Collaborated with Data Scientists to integrate several AI/Machine Learning services in production systems (Article clustering, quotes detection, sentiment).
- Made our email alert system scalable and resilient to respond to the growth of our client base and be able to perform thousands of searches every minute to deliver our alerts “instantly” and beat the competition.
- Added new content that increased the load on the system by 1.5 million articles a day involving setting up monitoring and making sure the system scales up accordingly.
