Never4get is a social platform that allows users to make memorable days in their lives special by reminding their friends of these days, help them receive gifts they want etc. Here are some of the things I did to make it happen: - Built an application that allows users to create and share special events like birthdays, anniversaries etc. with their loved ones. - Implemented API endpoints using ExpressJS and Typescript - Built frontend web app using NextJS + ReactJs and Typescript. - Added Google Analytics which helped track the application usage and measure business KPIs - Deployed the application to AWS ElasticBeanstalk and Vercel - Wrote SQL queries that used CTEs and window function to efficiently implement some complex business logic - Implemented a robust DevOps infrastructure on AWS that makes it easy to : - Update the application(using a CD pipeline) and catch errors before they are deployed(using a CI pipeline) - Get notified when production errors happen using Sentry - Manage email templates and makes it easy to update them - Manage, monitor and update cron-jobs using a combination of serverless services including AWS EventBridge and AWS Lambda. - Implemented email notifications and built aesthetically pleasing email templates that contain reminders for events, transaction receipts etc. - Created internal analytical dashboards that help monitor metrics that answer business related questions using metabase. - Created CI/CD pipelines that allows us to effectively know when a feature is still working.
