Effectively lead the architectural design and implementation of a real-time stream processing system, leveraging Amazon AWS Kinesis, and Redshift for data persistence. Integrated Nasdaq Ultrafeed Opra inside quote stream as primary source of market data. Application intended for use by Investor Relations and Economics Research teams, providing historical and real-time Implied Earnings Move data.

Successfully led and managed a talented team of 6+ software engineers, delivering solutions for highly visible and critical initiatives. Scope of responsibility included leading software development and support of back office technology systems for all NASDAQ OMX derivatives businesses. Encompassed four distinct options and futures trading venues: NASDAQ OMX PHLX (PHLX), NASDAQ Options Market (NOM), Boston Options Exchange (BXO), and NASDAQ Futures Exchange (NFX). Effectively managed relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels including senior management, to ensure appropriate prioritization and timely delivery of software solutions. Environment included significant organizational and political pressures, including aggressive project timelines. Continued to make hands-on development involvement a priority so as to stay close to the details of the technology and systems being delivered. ● Managed development of the Nasdaq Futures Exchange (NQF) back office systems, integrating into common platform for derivatives markets. ● Led development and replatforming of the NASDAQ Options Market (NOM) onto common back office systems. This effort introduced significant technological and operational efficiencies. ● Managed development and deployment of new back office platform in support of new options exchange – Boston Options Exchange (BXO) – in record time of 173 days. ● Led deployment of highly-regarded revenue management / billing system, enabling the business to make significant monthly pricing changes in order to effectively react to market competition. ● Led and managed ongoing development of NASAQ OMX Membership and Account Management system, which provides critical management of trading accounts, firm exchange membership information, and related contact information. ● Managed the development of the NASDAQ OMX derivatives Security Master application, supporting the symbol listings business in the management of the various NASDAQ OMX derivatives venues.
