Teaching iOS development with Swift
At the beginning of 2020 I taught Swift and iOS development to a small group of young men and women, looking to be employable in the area of mobile development.
It was a very fulfilling experience, full of learnings for me as well. In the first place, I felt truly privileged to be teaching Swift, since it is such a powerful, rich and modern language.
Secondly, it was truly remarkable to see how quickly students picked up on the design idioms, since they were already fluent as mobile users. Their perspectives quickly opened to a greater understanding of the UX aspect of app making, which is key to create solutions that are user-centric.
Learning to code and to create great apps is surely a long path, but there are great resources out there and strong communities that constantly exchange and share. It's such a great moment to be involved in mobile development!
