  • Delivered decentralized network reliability for casper.network protocol throughout its development (alpha, private beta, public beta), and the growth of external blockchain validators from 5, 10.. up to ~100+.
  • Defined observability indicators, ran performance benchmarks on testnets
  • Team production hand-offs and Incident Response (across the US, Europe, and Asia), powered via ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Slack, Confluence and Alert Manager.
  • Contributed to week-long workloads for Scala and Rust-based software on global AWS clusters.
  • Followed the infrastructre-as-code ideology; coded the framework to launch automated testbeds provisioned via Terraform and Ansible and artifacts via drone CI, and released it on GitHub (migrated from JFROG Bintray).
  • Supported automated blockchain cluster VM spin-ups via Rundeck for developers to test consensus fault tolerance and throughput.
  • Maintained lists of nodes serving a test network iteration, launched test nets, and supported external validators on Discord.

I co-authored the research paper while sifting through the existing public blockchain research corpus, completed requirement analysis for forking a public blockchain, and prototyped the algorithm in Python and Go, which was later absorbed into the public blockchain mainnet. The testnet was launched between October and November, achieving 1200–1900 TPS with the naive version—an improvement of about 100x over Ethereum. Mainnet was launched in March 2019, around 11 months from the release of the first draft. I then helped gain the compliance licenses with the Ministry of IT in China via live remote demonstrations. Next, I solidified public and investor relations by delivering talks, workshops, and hackathons organized in Boston, Beijing, San Francisco, and Bangalore. You can see the talk at Starfish Mission in SF: From Nakamoto PoW To Hybrid Consensus at the line below: https://youtu.be/KC_wQKHeo7w?t=53 I also orchestrated a small group of around 50 distributed systems developers, researchers from MIT, NYU, and UC Berkeley, and open source enthusiasts from companies such as Google, Red Hat, and VMWare. This work was required as part of the performance engineering work I did at Red Hat, and the team internally used it for visualizing server resource utilization metrics during benchmarks. I've made several contributions to the Grafana repository on GitHub that enable the idea of visualizing nested Elasticsearch documents. This feature was missing and is in popular demand per the discussions on issues and pull requests I've opened.
