As part of my day-to-day job I am a Software Engineer at Facebook, where I work on mobile messaging and communication apps with over one billion active users. At the moment I'm focused on bringing Portal to the Workplace, and providing the best communication and collaboration device to remote workers and SMBs.

Most of my experience with Java comes from building mobile applications in Android.
But I have also created web apps and REST services with Spring and Hibernate. One such project was for parsing and displaying big amounts of air pollution data.
I am comfortable using the broad range of the Java stack and also its language specifics. Also committed to clean code principles, Test-Driven Development and Continuous Integration.

The language gives developers many benefits, reduces boilerplate code, and helps us get up-and-running in no-time. At the same time I try to not overuse many of its nit and bits in order to stay as efficient as possible.
