My research focuses on the development of quantum enhanced measurement techniques in optical lattice clocks, with particular focus on the neutral strontium optical lattice systems at the National Physical Laboratory (UK). I am responsible for the continuous operation, development, and innovation of these systems. This work may very well ultimately lead to the redefinition of the second!
In addition to the day-to-day experimental operation of laser systems and rapid prototyping of custom electronics, I developed strong python programming skills in the development of scientific applications and data analysis pipelines - as well as a broad range of quantitative and analytical skills.
The work of my PhD has so far resulted in eight original papers. I also maintain and contribute to open-source software packages (available on PyPI).
