Having contracted for a Chicago fintech startup (keyo.co) we used Laravel as a foundation for building out the admin/merchant/user dashboard applications as well as a soon to be public biometrics API that at first allows for native mobile applications but eventually will handle traffic from standalone point of sale hardware devices as well as 3rd party integrations.

I've used the Angular 1.* framework to build UI's for both delicious side projects (nomz.org) and production applications for clients. Far from trivial, having integrated it with a Ruby on Rails API, built in complete offline access to the application and an auto-syncing feature for data collected offline.

As part of a WordPress ViP agency I built full-stack web applications/sites/plugins for companies that run the gamut - large media organizations like Tribune media (100+ sites) as well as ecommerce organizations, startups and mid-market companies using WP as an application platform - building tools and services to more thoughtfully engage with clients beyond "just a website".
