Your Reputation Precedes You, Doesn't It?

About the talk

Reputation, simply put, is just an opinion which people hold of you. The more people have good opinion on you and your skills, the better off you are.

There are multiple ways to build your reputation: you can channel your skills and knowledge (and the way you’re acquiring them), or help others learn, or write articles and give talks.

In this talk I’ll try to persuade you to start doing all that as early in your career as possible. I will also explain how to take all these actions with as little discomfort and with as much fun as possible.

This talk will cover

  • Why reputation is important for your career
  • Ways to build reputation
  • How to take action
