About the talk
FAANG (Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, Google) companies are considered the prominent American Tech Companies and are considered the most difficult to get a job into (Less than 5% of the candidates are able to crack the interviews).
As someone who cleared the interviews of 3 of them and worked in all 3 of them in the last 5 years, I would like to guide all the people around (with/without CS background) on how to prepare for these interviews, how to approach the interview questions and finally how to succeed in their roles in FAANG companies.
This talk will cover
- How to get started with coding for non-computer science background students
- Which topics to prepare for coding interviews and how to prepare them
- Resources to prepare coding and System Design topics
- How to approach the questions during actual interviews - expected coding standards, tradeoffs in approaches and time complexities, etc.
- How to succeed in the role in FAANG companies after cracking the interviews and getting the job
